It has several years in front of it. I loved it . It's Merlot based with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Delish!

Wow. I'm going to have to change my middle name to "Mountain fruit." First encounter with Von Strasser and loved every minute of it - elegant bright cherry nose with supple tannins rounding out the mouth. The age was perfect, showing red fruit, minerality, and a distinctly stoney 'cellar funk' that rocks (no pun intended.) fabulous night.. 93+

Smells like mature bdx. Can really smell the cab franc. It's clean dry on palate. Fruit initially and dries up quickly leaving much to be desired.

Good on ya' Rudy! 99 Sori Bricco hanging tough. These Diamond Mountain reds take a long, long time.

Big and balanced blend. Fine tannins with nice minerality add to the currant and berry notes.

A deep dark plum color with lilac undertones. Initial black pepper and cloves aromas but the rich black fruits and and floral notes grow to dominate the nose. This isn’t a standard huge flabby kitchen sink blend, instead it’s actually quite sleek and focused. Sleek, but definitely not dainty. This needs a good bit of air to open up. Harmonious acidity and tannins. Of course, you have to mention the mountain fruit. Beautiful, pure fruit from the Diamond Mountain District that is vibrant and should be for years to come. Tart cherries, cranberries, and blackberries show on the palate. Milk chocolate, cassis, and new leather come to play, as well.

From 2010 visit to von Strasser. Drank 12/15/2018 with Walter Michael. Decanted. Lots of crystalline sediment. Past prime lacking structure but great bouquet. Soupy sweet full.

Very nice. Just enough tannin to be real, but soft enough to easy. Very enjoyable wine.
