Von Strasser Res 01'out of a mag. 45% CB 44% PV 11% Merlot. It was pretty much a pop & pour wine. My wife thought it was the WOTN. It was outstanding. Out of a mag it will drink for another 7/10 years.

Very consistent with bottles I've had a few months ago. This stuff is built like a tank- another 10+ years left. Nose of decaying earth and chocolate. Red fruits still very present with a spicy tobacco leaf finish that pulls your cheeks in.

Sep 18th, 2016Loving this. Reminds me of Diamond Creek with less minerality. Dark dirty purple color, lots of funk on the nose. Raspberry purée, pencil lead, pinch of tannin. Killer finish. 40/37/23 Petit Verdot, Cab, Merlot. Unusual combo (for me anyway) but it's awesome!
