Virginie T. (Virginia Taittinger)
Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay
Champagne, France
Some fruit and vanilla ice cream in the nose and palate. Went well with both prosciutto and hard white cheese and a double chocolate brownie.

An impressively elegant Brut Nature Champagne, this 2009 vintage shows the reward of time with beautifully developed maturity and tension. Ultra dry, yet remarkably expressive, it opens with aromas and flavors of citrus zest and yellow stone fruits, underpinned by almond and delicate toast.
The palate is light-to-medium-bodied with vibrant acidity that still sings after all these years, offering a clean, refined finish. A true food Champagne, pair it with lobster, scallops, or fine shellfish for a luxurious experience.

Virginie T. — Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne NV — Champagne. France 🇫🇷
Overview:
A non-vintage Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs crafted entirely from Chardonnay and blended across selected vintages for consistency, finesse, and balance. This is a delicate yet complete Champagne, built more on precision and texture than power.
Aromas & Flavors:
Baked yellow apple, lemon zest, white flowers, subtle brioche, and a light chalky mineral note. The profile is refined and quietly expressive, with each element beautifully integrated.
Mouthfeel:
Fine, persistent bubbles with crisp acidity and an elegant, silky texture. The balance is extraordinary—fresh without sharpness, creamy without heaviness, and long enough to keep inviting another sip.
Food Pairings:
Oysters, scallops, sushi, smoked salmon, light seafood appetizers, or simply enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
Verdict:
One of the most delicate and delicious non-vintage Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagnes I have tasted. Sophisticated, precise, and exceptionally balanced from start to finish.
Did You Know?
Virginie T. was founded by Virginie Taittinger, who comes from one of Champagne’s most historic families and created her own house with a focus on refined, small-production cuvées.
🍷 Personal Pick:
This has become my staple choice for Blanc de Blancs Champagne. The finesse, purity, and extraordinary balance make it a bottle I can confidently return to again and again.
