Dark red/purple color. Smells like both colors of licorice, dark blackberries, and good cherry cough syrup. Flavors are full and woodsy. Bit like wood stain covered pine. Has a bit of forest floor and barnyard. Thick boy. Bitter with plenty of oaky, smokey stuff to chew on. A good example of CA power packed Syrah.
