Great Mencia , fresh , fruity but a long dry finish . Unpacked from 85 year old vines ! Great value , for a serious wine.

Extremely earthy. Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits with hints of smoke, black licorice and roasted mint leaves. Just a touch of Brett. Really dense (including the color) and concentrated. Fine tannins. Rustic but elegant. Thanks a mark B.

Deep dark red, loads of berries, cherry liquor , taste mouthfilling with dry tannins.

Nice and robust wine, stylistically somewhere between a Cabernet and a Grenache. Food friendly, and drinking very well. Nice one.

I can’t put my finger on the aftertaste. It’s a little fruit forward mancia grape from Italy As it opened up and breathed it has a tobacco taste 3015 from Pignetti’s. $20.99

Very full bodied without being heavy smooth, not spicy.

Plum, cherry, and some spice. 100% mencia from 80 year old vines. Aged 4 months in French oak and 2 months in bottle. A medium bodied, balanced red that paired beautifully with orange chicken and banana dole dippers. 14% alcohol. Bierzo
