Vineyard 29
The Essentials 29 Estate Sauvignon Blanc
15’ Vineyard 29 SB. PNP- This SB plays in the deep end. A massive structured SB that’s not for everybody. It screams new world to me. Very much enjoyed it & would absolutely purchase it again.
The nose isn’t shy & comes out to play. Big exotic & tropical fruits of pineapple, peach, tangerine, nice streak of slate that runs through it. Followed by moderate/light acidity. Perfect time to drink!!

Wine Nerd Herd Thursday lunch which we like to call Sauvignon Blanc on steroids - the wines are delicious and the friendship is even better - this is usually a get rowdy event with just the gents but mixed it up a little and was a blast and definitely a little slice of Heaven

May 16th, 2019The was our second stop in Napa and we tasted four wines all paired with small bites. This 16 Estate Sauvignon Blanc was paired with “Delice Des Deux-Sevres.”
The nose reveals; Meyer lemon, lime, pineapple, green apple, green melon, grapefruit w/ pith, cut grass, green bean, silvered almond, vanilla, cream, light caramel with yellow lilies.
The body a little thicker for an SB, rich and creamy. Meyer lemon, lime, pineapple, green apple, green melon, cantaloupe, banana, passion fruit, grapefruit w/ pith, cut grass, green bean, silvered almond, slight woodiness, vanilla, cream, light caramel with yellow lilies.
Photos of, an aerial shot of Vineyard 29 (the weather was better than the day we arrived), hand blown glass pieces decorating the walk to their tasting room, old guitar & amp that was bought as a donation and returned to the winery and their beautiful tasting room & library wines.

2004 vintage. Inaugural release. Fruit has severely dissipated. Structure remains, with a noticeable oak presence. Slightly over the hill. Exciting nonetheless.

Apr 11th, 20151988 Pavillon Blanc du Cheateau Margaux. 2005 Vineyard 29 Estate Blanc. 2005 Araujo Eisele Estate Blanc. For better, for worse, we resort to group rating. The 88 was showing well, but far from its peak. Extremely well made, yet simply not meant to excel in its third decade. The Araujo was strong, but somewhat lactic. And the 29 was still impressive; however, the tropical notes from harvest have only exacerbated - showing less freshness than previous bottles.

Feb 18th, 2015Wow, a very powerful sav Blanc form v29, I can't wait to see how they make it. 100% new oak. Peaches and vanilla wafers with a touch of VA. I like
