Deep ruby red. Rich nose with layers of cassis, black fruits, anise and black cranberries. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Lots of grittiness and gravel on the palate with some black cherries and black fruits. Dry and long finish. Drink till 2030.

Their 2015 Cabernet Franc was paired with “Grassfed Lamb atop a Bed of Butternut Squash Dressed with Au Jus.” I must say what their Chef prepared that day was really quite good. We would love to do a 4-5 course dinner there sometime based on what we had on this day.

Elegant floral nose, ruby, rich, dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, plum, boysenberries blueberries, black plum, dark cherries, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, understated cinnamon, dark light spices, black licorice, dark rich soils, dry top soil with dark withering floral bouquet, violets and light lavender.

The body is full. The tannins soft, round, velvety and dusty on the longer set. Nice length, structure and balance. Dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, plum, boysenberries blueberries, black plum, dark cherries, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, understated cinnamon, dark light spices, black licorice, dark rich soils, dry top soil, dry clay with dark withering floral bouquet, violets and light lavender. The acidity is nice and round. The finish is good...long, balanced fruit and earth but short. However, this wine was a little shy (closed down) now but will blossom to better heights with 8-10 years in bottle.
