Complex but typical carmenere nose. Rich, smoky and herbaceous. A little hot and edgy on the palate but dry enough to add some structure.

Jan 21st, 2016Steve Peck- The Chilean winemaking community has really perfected the art of Carmenere. This variety is known for herbaceous characters and requires exceptional care in the vineyard to achieve the best results. This single vineyard offering I found on a recent trip to Chile is one of the best I've tried. Big, Bordeaux-like structure, with a touch of mint. Amazing with braised short ribs.
