Oh hey this is fabulous. In a “I wouldn’t necessarily know it’s cab f” way. It is light on its feet but not in the spritzy way like last night’s was. Lithe not light. But it’s dancing on a rug as opposed to a slippery floor. Silky ripe tannins that don’t grip until the last moment. Bright cherries. Bits and bobs of pepper. A bit of earth and herb. It’s not especially complex but it fits thoroughly in “refreshing red”. I’m here for it.

Smells like an old cellar in a Dusty cave..

Roasted plum, tobacco, cigar box, pure cherry juice, thick, rich, heavy bodied.
Acidified flint finish with a lingering blueberry hue. Worth schlepping back from Vinos del mundo, in the Gran Torre, Santiago Chile.

Opened for the usual couple of hours and needed. Waited one month after travel before opening.
Worth the wait. Yum! South America.

Great structure, shining example of how a new world Cab Franc should taste. Red fruit mingling with black fruit, pipe tobacco, cedar...dusty tannins and a lovely acidity.

Gran Reserva Cab Franc. Very nice structure, tannic backbone, and dusty fruit balance. Enjoyable and age worthy.

Not what I was expecting but still good. It was sold as a really big “gobsmacker” but no where near that. It’s a really nice, dry and medium bodied red.
