Villa Wilhelma Winery Timeless Series 100 Months 2008, Israel

#AgedWineTuesday

Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim.

Beautiful nose with lots of complexity.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate, soft and rich.

Showing red cherries, currants, cedar, light vanilla, tobacco, cardamon, light wet leaves, turmeric, peppercorn, espresso, chocolates, earth, herbs, light vinaigrette and Indian spices.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Israel is gorgeous. Still full of fruits with lots of secondary and tertiary notes, and feels way younger than it actually is.

I've had a few different wines from this winery, and this is their pinnacle wine.

Rich, yet elegant, with a great mouthfeel. Alcohol is nicely integrated, complex and interesting. Loved smelling on it for a long time.

A great sipping wine to have all by itself and share with friends.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. Just delicious.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Aged in American oak barrels for 100 months. Bottled In 2017.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

95 points.

$110.
