To me this was obviously past peak. Brown and hazy with sediment, almost rusty. The palate showed root beer and balsamic. Other tasters were waxing poetic, maybe my palate lacks the ability to detect the same complexities. Or the other tasters were just wrong.

Deep dark color, balsamic and eucalyptus and meaty on the nose. Spicy and full body on the palate. Perfect with spicy pasta. On its own astringent. #taurasi#italianwines

Nose: black fruit (black berries), a touch of red fruit as well.. quite on the ripe side, gooseberry and a hint of liquorice. Very spice and sweet bouquet overall. Palate: punchy tannins, dry, not sweet at all (as it tastes) - balanced overall
