Initial nose of passion fruit followed by gooseberry. Same on the palate with lime citrus. Not crazy over the top and the acid is well balanced. Good wine for the money.

If forced to drink a NZ Sauv Blanc, this is a good choice. Grassy, grapefruit but definitely drinkable.

This is the cellar select label a bit cooler climate vineyards and more time on the lees

Villa Maria 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Cellar Collections. Much spunkier wine. Lots of grass, grapefruit, acidity! Lots of action going nice!

Overall an acceptable drinking experience. Just a bit too sharp for the family. Drank it in NZ.

Goes through malolactic fermentation so has that creamy mouthfeel and taste.

Minerals up front, not as bracingly acidic as most NZ Sauv Blancs, more finesse than others. More complex fruit notes than just grapefruit; apples, pears and maybe peach even. Nice and a better match with food than so many others from NZ.

Smooth wine from start to finish. Nice balance. I don't drink much White's but this one definitely makes me rethink that
