We hand carried this bottle from Chianti about 5 years ago. I met the Count in Napa and he invited me to visit if I ever made it to Italy. I loved it then and it still reminds me of Italy. Not overly sweet with honeyed figs but a nice amount of acidity and an almost syrupy thickness. Beautiful!

Ever heard the phrase "vino da meditazione" from an Italian vintner? It refers to a wine that inspires one to slow down and savor. This Vin Santo from the Capponi family is a great example --
