This packs a pretty mean punch for a sub $20 wine. Nice balance overall, but it’s a little hot on the back end (14% abv), although that might be characteristic of the 2015 vintage.

Possibly a bad bottle? Very green, one note, boozy tasting.

With a chicken parmigiana sandwich I thought it paired perfectly. The nose was fruit forward with red fruits. The wine moved effortlessly in the mouth it was light and silky. A hint of spice at the tip and clay in the finish. Not overpowering.
