Elegant and restrained. When we first popped the cork there was just an overwhelming scent of violets and concentrated fruit. That slide quickly and turned into a lovely and tight wine. Flavors of both cold resting and warm slightly roasted fruit, solid structure they didn’t have an any harsh tannins but also was warm and welcoming without being flabby. Had it with of all things a venison sausage carbonara and it complemented it beautifully.
