Vigne Regali (Banfi)
Rosa Regale Sparkling Brachetto d'Acqui

In 1978 John and Harry Mariani, owners of the U.S. wine importer Banfi Vintners, established the winery Castello Banfi in the Brunello region of Tuscany. Dark rose color with light frothy bubbles, made from Brachetto. Lively fruity intense floral nose. The palate shows red fruit, sweet raspberry and strawberry with medium acidity. This is a good wine for either an aperitif or after dinner. Soft ending.

Jun 6th, 2018Sluttiest wine on the planet. Sweet and delicious, not a fan with food but in a jacuzzi or off a belly button, damn son, if you don't get lucky it's not the wine's fault

The wine is a bit fizzy and colors up into a nice reddish brown plum color. The nose offers red flowers and raspberries while the palate is sweet with strawberry, cherry and earth. Rosa Regale has about half the alcohol of a typical wine, so it makes a great sipper for the porch or backyard.

A bubbly child with strawberry jam on her face. If there was a PB&J wine, this would be it.

The wineโs medium-dark red color carries a brick tint with it, giving the impression that this non-vintage wine is much older than it appears. Moderate bubbles provide a celebratory feel - it is spumante, not frizzante. On the nose, muted black cherry and raspberry aromas ride under a dominant earthy note. The palate displays some beautifully sweet cherry and pomegranate flavors. The taste of the earth presides again, with an undercurrent of toast. A nice acidity and a firm tannic structure complete what is a very attractive picture. The wine finishes sweet and delicious.
