Gambellara Classico El Gian

2013. Damn fine Garganega! Loads of minerality. Seems almost light-bodied but the finish is very lengthy.

Layers of tropical & citrus fruit accented by ginger notes. The texture is a bit waxy & this adds some good complexity. Acid isn’t pronounced at first, but this opens up to show some vibrancy and freshness.

Another 100% Garganega. Quite smoky, but no oak. Perhaps from bacterial or yeast chemical reaction.
