Reconfirmed my love for this wine. She may be young but she is very aromatic with lavender and black tea and beautiful bing cherry fruit set like a gem atop a fine scaffolding of firm tannins and bright acidity. Lovely...

2007 vintage. Lovely straight-shooting Nebbiolo. Sour cherry, leather and rose petals. Very elegant though not rich or concentrated.

Give it 2-3 more years.

Really loved it. Everyone thought it was a bit older but either way it was beautiful.

Drinking great -- open, floral, decent complexity. All one could want from an entry-level Barolo. Fantastic!

Much more structured and classic than is typical for the vintage. Drying tannins, licorice and dark fruit. Maybe it's in a muted phase, but I don't see this turning into the showy, fleshy wine that's so typical of 07... and that's fine by me. I can see this having at least another 10-15 years in it.

aromas of what my friend calls "church floors" and anise, dusty tannins, rich, cocoa, good acidity. In short, this is showing well. Got about 90 minute decant.

Tasty Barolo with 12 years of age. Good nuttiness, anise and earth on the palate. Enjoyed with a bone in ribeye, mushrooms and green beans with almonds.

Vietti makes a great wine bottom line. This is their entry level Barolo and it punches above its weight. I paid $40 for this back in the day. It’s in a great place with subtle red fruit and floral notes with a hint of menthol. The finish is beautiful and lasts a few seconds. This was supposed to be a nice glass with some chicken parm for dinner instead the bottle is gone and my wife wants to know if we have more. Joy to drink.
