This is the regular bottling of Vietti’s Moscato d’Asti. I’m not normally a Moscato frizzante guy but I’m trying out an unusual recipe that calls for half a bottle of it. So we’re drinking the rest of it and it’s quite nice. Loads of spritely fruit on the nose, ripe and zesty in the mouth. Super clean and pure tasting. This would be dynamite rehydration after a work-out! Only 5% alcohol!

Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe stone and tropical fruits and floral notes wrapped in a frizzante. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot and mango with white floral notes. Good balance, lively acidity, medium finish ending with ripe fruit character. Nice! Consistent.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, without orchestra or conductor 😉. Three humble souls playing an all BEETHOVEN program (Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor (Opus 1, No. 3) and Symphony No. 2 in D (Opus 36, arr. for piano trio by Beethoven)) with a few of the best players of instruments containing strings, Yo-Yo Ma (cello), Leonidas Kavakos (violin) and Emanuel Ax (piano). A true delight for lovers of Classical music this evening!
