Victoria Park
Shiraz

Incredibly underwhelming Aussie Shiraz. I’ve come to expect and respect bigger more bombastic Shiraz and this is as light as an Oregon Pinot Noir. Muddled dark berries and a bit of tar. No acidity or structure to help with the weak flavors. It’ll serve for a house wine at a catered party or something, but I wouldn’t spend the $10 on it myself.

Aroma is light with noticeable blackberry, plum and honeysuckle. Color is gorgeous in spite of its lighter body. Palate is bright fruit and jam giving way to oak and light spice; with the lighter body cutting things off fairly quickly. Finishes with plum and smoothish tannins. Overall a solid wine that paired really well with our dinner of an Australian meat pie.

I really enjoyed this wine! Deep purple in color with dark berries on the nose. Medium to full body with a touch of oak and a long velvety finish. I drank this with a good old fashioned chili and it paired REALLY well,
