Finally able to slow down tonight. Grabbed a bottle of Veuve Fourny & Fils Vertus Brut Premier Cru from Dean & DeLuca. I have to credit my new boss Kisha Itkin with the recommendation. Vibrant lemon and rocks take center stage, while toast and almond provide backup. Such a steal.

This was a standout in X-mas eve, so it had to make an appearance again for New Years. Not too expensive and available in magnum. There are some other champagnes I prefer at the same price point (Bulles de Comptoir, for instance), but this is a crowd pleasing option you can find in a big bottle.

Delicate mousse, lemon/lime and fresh baked bread scents. Green apple, lemon, and flint on the palate, simultaneously light but creamy in texture, with classic acid zip. The finish lingers pleasantly, like lemonade on a hot summer day. Love it!
