Slightly sweet for my taste, but enjoyable enough in the tropical weather this Christmas 2019 in Florida with my kids and my Dad. To my Delectable community - In Vino Veritas. Enjoy!

My first time with this wine, I know, crazy. Been working in the wine business for years and this is my first Cliquot. Now I know what the hype is about. Super classic and yummy!

I order this by the glass when the sparking choices by the glass let you down. It's decent but I can't say I ever embraced it fully. I can think of many other champagnes I would drink at or under the price point...Launois, Franck Bonville, Louis Roederer "Brut Premier", Pol Roger "White Foil - Extra CuvΓ©e de RΓ©serve" etc.. Their NV is just not all that compelling. Bruised golden apple, bruised pear, apple cider, quince, lite on chalk and has decent acidity but finishes...πŸ˜‘

Believe it or not, this champagne pairs perfectly with sushi. #forgivemewinegods

I know most of its money is spent on marketing and it's far overpriced and there are many cremants or even champagnes available for far less, but it's consistent, nutty, and very elegant and balanced. I would love to hate it but it ain't bad.
