I wanted this wine experience to be as New Orleans as possible, from stopper to glass... This wine grew on me once it sat a bit. I prefer it in a tight glass rather than opened up, which allowed for more nuance & tannins to shine through. Not much nose at all. Sharp red currant & raspberry front. Velvety middle with violet & black cherry. Lush, robust finish with notes of cocoa, blueberry muffin, black currant, cassis, & raspberry jam.

Spicy and peppery - bigger and better paired with food. Would buy again, however it's not the Prisoner.
