2011. Needs time. Bright right now, not rough but if you open, decant and pair with savory

Nov 13th, 20142021/4/29-30 with Nanjing saltwater duck, etc. Normally I don’t go for wines with international varieties from places like Chianti (and Panzano no less), but I came across this without knowing what was in it and had been wanting to try something from Montefili. It was pretty good - and the Cabernet Franc (which might be my favorite of the French varieties in Tuscany due to Ampeleia) hit the spot when I wanted something to go with duck. It had the brambly cassis and green tobacco, with some cherry from the Sangiovese. Was best on day 1 - was a little plain on day 2.

May 5th, 2021Nice and round. Fruity with nice cherry flavors and some acidity so it wasn't flabby. Almost no tannins, but what there was were smooth.
