Not my style at all. So dry, almost bitter. $14.99 from Costco

Lovely dinner to celebrate birthdays with Julia Levy and Joseph Reeves. Brought this one from my collection and proved an excellent complement to rich tomato and cream pasta dishes we enjoyed. Well balanced with delicate dry fruit finish. Tannins slight but wonder if further aging would have made fruit grander.

Great find at Costco. Good structure, lots of ripe fruit and acid balance. Great with pasta and Ragu. Decant it for an hour and you will be pleased.

Very firm, like a catholic school teacher. Medium bodied, with a bit of spice on the front of your palate. Great with pizza or something relaxed
