Clear dark garnet. Red cherry and balsam on the abundant nose. Juicy (high acidity) medium-bodied palate yields dark red cherry, balsam, and cranberry. Medium plus tannins; surprisingly high for the price point, but with the acidity make for an excellent pizza or pasta wine. Not a long-term keeper -- go to Classico Riserva for that -- but drink within a year or two of your purchase.
