Imereti Dry Red Saperavi

Pretty dry at the back of the mouth, fruity like pears, a little mineraly/earthy, medium body. Really unique but not my fave orange.

Needs a ton of time to open up. Once it does (ie day 2), medium plus tannic, cherry, earth.

Really interesting and unique Georgian varietal. Reminds me of Cotes du Rhone. Plum red raspberries. Light to medium body. Easy finish.

I aggressively disagree with the ratings for this wine. Deep purple in color. Graphite, plum, and green pepper on the nose. An initial hit of sweet and fruit on the palate that then finishes with medium tannins, a bit of oak, and a good earthiness on the finish. Pair with salty, rich food.

Qvevri dry red wine from show. What a unique treat. Very earthy and strong minerals. Could taste the clay pot. Gaumarjos! From Georgia.

Funky. OK with pizza. Not to share with normal people.

Light and fruity with a bit of wild funk, like straw. Cherry and strawberry, medium finish. Slatey-mineral-earthy thing going on. Quite dry.
