Fun wine to drink with the Varner family and also not a typical California Chardonnay. There are some butterscotch aromas, but not too buttery or bold. More of a subtle beeswax scent and melon. Has an oily texture that costs the tongue with flavors of ripened cantaloupe, honeydew, and peach.

We agree with AG on this one. Lovely wine, soft, round and plush. Featuring lots of nutty notes, apricot and lanolin on the mid-palate. This is an easy quaffer. For house gatherings, it’s a huge buy. Perfect paring with sushi 🍣

The 2015 Chardonnay El Camino Vineyard is striking. Lemon confit, orange peel and tropically leaning flavors make a strong opening statement. Broad and ample on the palate, with plenty of supporting acids, the El Camino is a wonderfully complete wine, not to mention a terrific value. Drink it over the next handful of years. A touch creamy but the acidity and hint of tropical fruits makes it hardly noticeable.

Love this bottling. Beeswax, lemon curd, and warm earth with snappy acidity. American Puligny from an awesome vineyard. Come down to Mintwood Place to try a bottle or two...or three...or four...

Another great wine from the Varner twins at an affordable price. Definitely an elegant style of Santa Barbara Chardonnay with crisp apple, pear, lemon and a streak of minerality. Recently bottled and should only get better.
