Crozes Hermitage Marsanne Roussanne

I can’t think of a Rhône white I’ve enjoyed more than this one. So unique. Nose has fresh mint leaves , lanolin, yellow tropical fruits, musky flowers, and stones. Richly extracted but with beautiful balance, the flavors linger. Mineral and fruit swapping dominance in a harmonic wave. It’s almost tannic, which suggests significant skin contact.

Sick nose, wet earth, hay, beeswax, minerals, great inner mouth aromas, so juicy, so dense, so fresh. One of the best white Rhone deals I've ever sold.

White flowers. Honey, mineral, very pure . Excellent ripeness. Freshness with Roussanne and richness with Marsanne.

Drinking out on the deck without a jacket on Christmas in Connecticut. Surreal.

Ah, the wine. This is the best white Crozes I've had. Gorgeous nose. Flowers, honey, sweet straw, bitter deep pear. Waxy, ripe, earthy, minerally. Great length. Put a piece of tape over the "Crozes" and I'd believe you that this was a white Hermitage. Delicious. ($22 from Fass Selections)

80 Marsanne 20 Roussanne. Terrific wine a bit rounder but still precise.

Lovely nose. Earthy and mineral. Very aromatic. Terrific intensity. Very pure and clean. Loess soil dominates here. Terrific purity.
