The Malbec Strikes Back. Chocolate covered blueberries share time with sweet tobacco and cocoa. This sees 12 months of French oak which gives it chocolatey tannins and a sense of complexity on the nose and finish. Some herbal notes make their way into the mix, but oak and fruit dominate this showing. Decant for everything to fall in place. Great QPR.

Apr 25th, 2017First sip, chocolate and tobacco, but the tobacco part could be from previously tarnishing my tastebuds by smoking. This wine is very drinkable, smooth dark and rich. Lovely warming from alcohol, but no bitterness. A little citrusy in the back of the throat, but very slight. Although it does seem that the more it aerates the citrus notes come more to the fore. Nice wine, I will buy more.
