This was the perfect wine to start off our stay at the Upper Reach spa cottage in the Swan Valley recently! We picked it up from the cellar door for $30 and after checking in and pouring a glass we thought we'd take it for a walk around the vineyard with us. Romance x 10!
Shinmery yellow colour on the eye with a mesmerising effervescence. The nose really intrigues me on this bubbles, there's florals, citrus and subtle spices. On the palate it has a lovely smooth texture with a fruit salad of orchard fruits. The perfect sparkler to drink while watching the world go by (aka the Swan River).

Do you ever make a deal with your partner that they have to do something if you go get the next wine from the cellar/fridge/bar? That's what this was! At the Twilight Concert at Upper Reach Winery last weekend, the deal was I'd go get the next bottle of wine as long as Mr. Spittoon wrote the tasting note. Secretly I love when he puts pen to paper, or I guess finger to iPhone - it just shows everyone perceives wines differently and you shouldn't be afraid to give opinions on wines you like (you may as well keep the bad ones to yourself)!
