Dry Creek Valley Syrah
This has been on the cellar for a few years. I remember tasting it in the tasting room, when it was youthfully tannic and I hope it would resolve in the bottle.
Now it has resolved tannins but the aroma is still quite youthful. This works OK with BBQ free range pork, but really feels like it needs more time to get really interesting.

Beautifully done and an excellent value. Blackberries, black olives, oak aged but no overt oaky aromas or flavors. Bravo!

Nov 8th, 2014My first Unti Syrah, lots of dark fruit and brambly notes. Tannins are very fine for 2011 but it went great with my burger at Rootstock!
