Fräulein Riven Rock Vineyard Riesling

This is actually the “Fraulein” Kick-On Ranch Vineyard Riesling. Structured from 20 hours on the skins. Fruity with ripe orchard apples. Aged in neutral oak. Producer notes “white chocolate” on the shelf talker and it is surprisingly accurate. Unique, leans Australian in style.

Bruised fruits and plenty of acid. Not a lot of depth, but nice for a summer afternoon.

First day insipid. Second day brilliant structure and balance. How is this possible

Bruised fruit, plenty of acid, and some interesting phenolic bitterness. Not super interesting, but the acid seems to make it work.

Good acidity, hint of honey, apples, green fruits

Dry and food-friendly.

Chain Bridge Cellars. Clean finish. Very dry. Nice.

Bone dry, fairly austere, really nervy verge of volatility- mineral stone maybe some apple skin & pear, but pretty lean & zippy- unusual style - reminds me of Clare Valley Riesling

Sweet, sugar aromas. V soft mouthfeel. Lil sweet with lite notes of Apple, semi dry.

Not as sweet as you would expect from a riesling. I taste slightly not yet ripe blueberries and apricots. Low mouth feel. Very pleasant to drink on a hot evening.
