Awesome. Aged in French oak, bottle fermented. Best dark ale three years in a row at the world beer awards. Have to try the 2012 and 2011 now...

Super strong toasted malt and almond aroma, but just sweet barley through start to fin. Too sweet a beer for me. Think my bottle may be past its prime however, considering the lack of carbonation and VERY heady buzz

Inspired by the brewing tradition of Belgian Trappist monks, this dark "ale on lees" (bottled with yeast sediment for further fermentation) has rich flavours of ginger and toffee.
