Wish I had more of the 2012 as it certainly eclipses the 2013. Accomplishes the ambitious balance between rustic minerality and luscious dark fruit with deft and precision.

Slightly thinner than I remember the 2012 being, but still has the same deliciousness. Dark chocolate, coffee, and cream and blackberry with some grilled meat in the background.

What’s not to like about this BDX blend from WA! Not overdone or overextracted (oak definitely there but integrated) but very generous aromatics & flavors on palate. Red & black fruit, warm spice, distinct cassis, minerality & earthiness like loam & soil goodness. Sturdy tannins, bit hi ABV - sometimes lumbering, but a really impressive & persistent finish. Bump for QPR
