Zweigelt

Solid wine but I wanted more acid

Gamay, meaty, juicy red fruit and spicy aroma. Pleasant.

The 11 Umathum is cool and earthy, reductive, benefited from a flash decant. Doesn't seem to have the same edge or stuff as the 09, but still an enjoyable drink. '12 Pechstein was crushed rock SALT and lime. Halbtrocken sweetness tucked away behind the acid and mineral. Friendly jabs around bread and butter, foie gras, gravlax, likes fat and salt

Interesting a little to horsey/sulfur (Brett) masks the other aromas of the wine

Love it little spice black pepper tight skin quality. Perfect for a sci-if I movie love me some Zwrigelt

Chalky tannins, hint of oak and subtle strawberry. Dries out pretty quick.

Fruity - deep, dark berries. Dry. Smooth finish. Tannins.

2011. Opaque black purple. Black currants, caraway, forest floor nose. Satin start, bitter mid, balanced acid, medium viscosity, chalky tannins on medium length finish. Great with a little fat.

Lekker sappig, totaal geen tannine. Betaalbaar en zeer aangenaam.
