Rockstar Rhône over tasted over two evenings. More winemakers are starting to catch on to the savory and nuanced wines William Allen has always crafted.

This is even better than a few months back! Terrific balance of floral notes, fruits, tannins, and acidity.

Fresh and bright fruit cut with balanced acidity and discrete tannins. Absolutely a winner!

Just over a year since I last had the 2012. Still fresh with fine tannin. The fruit is now seamless and I still get dried herbs and stone.

Wild berries, paraffin, dried herbs, and stone. This is getting better with age!

Sample provided by estate. A mix of garnet and crimson red with moderate intensity. Day one started with some floral and provenance herbs. Also a touch of wild berries and undertones of chalk and wax. Day two opened up with some red cherry cola and white pepper. Aromatics of lavender, red berries, and some sour cherries in the moderate length finish. Moderate tannins (5/10) and moderate body. Drink till 2021.

I consistently really enjoy this wine vintage to vintage. Refined, balanced and just a pleasure
