Delish with a 2 hour decant. Pairs well with chipotle bison burgers.

16% alcohol!! Where did they hide it? So well balanced it's like magic.

Followed the dogtown zin from same vintage and noticeably different wines. Lighter in color and more subdued but great smoothness and finish.

Zesty spicy big wine. Maybe a slight medicinal quality to it. Tastes like paso (where its from). Raspberry.

Jammy out of the bottle with little breath on the nose and palate...bit of a sweet finish. Wow

Thick and musky on the nose, but not showing any of its 15.9% alcohol there. The palate has great depth and is exceedingly plush, with sweet, jammy summer berries and toasted spices, and a good bit of heat once it opens up. I liked this best with food, as that helped hide the alcoholic finish a bit. Dialed back a notch, this would be extraordinary. As it is, it's still an excellent representative of its style.
