This is actually the Heminway Vineyard, 2011. I'm a rośe girl so that this with a grain of salt, but this one doesn't seem quite as heavy & jammy as other Turley Zins. Not bad.

Pretty purple with the edges starting to lighten up to ruby red. More restrained style - plenty of depth without being really jammy. Blue fruit gives way to chambord, grilled meat and cocoa with black tea on the long finish. Amazingly balanced for 15.7% alcohol. Turley continues to make some of the best Zinfandel around.

If your gonna be stuck inside, no better or bigger bottle than a Turley. Big bold and some nice Jam, definitely opened too early but hey it's why you buy two. At 15.8%...its a doozy.

I may never know what the difference is between Zinfandel and Cinsault but this wine is an excellent way to spend a night in after the longest day of your life. Delicious served slightly chilled and with a side of cereal.
