Single Vineyard Asvestaria Assyrtiko
Fresh, tart up front. Slate and salt and lemon peel on finish. Improved once it warmed up a bit.

Apr 22nd, 2023ingle vineyard Assyrtiko from limestone in northern Greece.
A lovely nose if crushed stone and yellow stone fruit on the nose with a touch of spice.
On the palate this is much richer & sweeter vs the Santorini counterparts - ripe pineapple, peach with a dab of honey with the spicy & salty minerality coming out only towards the finish.
Nicely balanced and with good length - this is a nice example of a completely different style, though I admit I do prefer the austerity of the Santorinis more
