My last bottle of this. It’s really good in a fuller style Oregon Pinot. Complex nose has gravelly loam, sandalwood notes, sappy cherry ooze, crushed rock, a little autumn baking spice. Full and broad in the mouth, but the flavors exhibit a nice balance of fruit, mineral, and underbrush notes. Medium acids, and a little very fine-grained tannin makes an appearance in the back half of the finish. Very nice

Jan 7th, 2025Delicious. Expressive and composed nose shows sappy cherry, moist loam, graham cracker spice, and a slight resiny note. Very Burgundian. In the mouth it’s quite elegant. Deep fruit in a bone dry package, lots of crushed stone minerality. Very long. Soft texture. Hint of porcini. The only quibble is that alcoholic heat peaks through a teeny bit.

Sep 29th, 2023Nose has lots of sweet cherry juice, graham cracker, moist soil, and a thing reminiscent of raw beef tenderloin. In the mouth, it’s supremely soft-textured, with soft acidity. Flavors begin with ripe cherry ooze and moist loamy notes, but get more minerally and savory on the finish. Very elegant and nice. Maybe a little too tame?
