2005 vintage from Priorat. 100% old vine low yielding Carignan / Carinena. Deep ruby edging towards garnet. Wonderful aroma. Pronounced. Cedar and tobacco and some leather, black ripe fruit. Blueberry dominant. Spice from the oak but balanced. Medium body. High tannins that are ripe and fine grained. High acidity. Juicy tannins. Medium plus alcohol. Bright and long sweet finish. Very enjoyable wine that has the structure and fruit to age for a decade or more.
