Comes across as light on its feet with an austere style & a certain elegance with notes of Lemon lime citrus, mineral, petrol & bracing acidity.

1999 vintage. Medium lemon hue. This is quite obviously Riesling like compared to most Clos Ste Hune I have had, even with TDN petrol / rubbery notes. Some wet stone minerality. Lemon curd and grapefruit. On the palate, high acidity, medium concentration and medium alcohol. Decent length. Seems a tad closed. I will decant this and give it an hour or so to open up. Drink until 2022. With air, there's a chestnut flavour on the mid palate with hints of honeysuckle. Good, but not a great example of Clos Ste Hune.

Great bottle. Good out of the gate, this only got better with air.
