A little flat. Not a ton of complexity. But very easy drinking. Very little tannin. And no cab candy apple sweetness. Nice but not amazing.

Surprisingly light on its feet for swingin’ at 14.5% ABV. A blend of 47% Merlot, 40% Sangiovese, 5% Montepulciano, 4% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is easy-going, easy-drinking and very food-friendly. On the nose rustic and earthy with black soils, mushrooms, old wooden planks, cinnamon-dusted cherries, and moist tobacco. On the palate smooth sailin’ with tart cherries, game, and slight medicinal qualities. Definitely more appealing on the nose, in my opinion, but with food I think this will do well.
