2018 Vintage - nice Chardonnay quality without too much oak character apple / pear ,spice medium acidity (maybe one of the only complaints the acid seems a bit low) (partial m-l ) overall nice

Mar 16th, 2022Today I am trying the 2012 Trefethen Chardonnay. After the earthquake they recently experienced and the damage they suffered I thought I would like to try their wines. I am pleasantly surprised and enjoying this Chardonnay. The aroma is wonderful full of pineapple, lemon, other citrus notes, butter cream and white flowers. On the palate I get nice lemon zest, peach, mild butter, good minerality, medium + acidity and a good long lingering finish. This is a well balanced Chardonnay and bought at $26.99.

Decent legs, 6/10. Smells like honeysuckle and citrus. A good example of a California Chardonnay. A small bite, and finish isn't very long lasting. Well balanced and lightly buttery. Good!
