A healthy dollop of whole clusters (30%) adds an element of savoriness that takes a little getting used to, as it is not often seen in Barbera. I am not a barbera girl but I appreciate the freshness with this wine. All I taste are dark cherries just not the right wine for me.

What a perfect epitome of juicy freshness!
Dark, sour cherry galore with a touch of mulberry and a hint of (dried) orange peel. A flowery whiff adds complexity. Much better on day 2 when the bubble gum fruitiness blows away.
On the palate this is light to medium bodied, with a nice (light) tannin structure and juicy acidity. Pure & perfectly balanced.
Not overly complex. Just joyful, bright & juicy.
Perfect with a bowl of pasta or antipasti.
