A nice and simple Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley.

Showing red fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco and spices.

Nice spicy finish with soft tannins.

Good right out of the bottle and good for parties.

A good happy hour wine.

Might be better in a year or two, when it comes together and brings in more complexity.

13.7% alcohol by volume.

84 points.

$10.

Overwhelmingly smoky. It was hard for me to pick up on other notes. It was drinkable but I wouldn’t purchase again.

Strawberry on the nose followed by dark cherry, berry and cola taste. Silky smooth tannins with a medium weight and dry finish. This is an amazing QPR for Trader Joe’s top of the line platinum designation. Sells for $14.99 but drinks easily at twice that price point.

2013 vintage is delicious. Silky and tart, strawberries and oak.

Hands down one of the best wines TJs has slapped its label on. It's held up with the best of them in Killer Wine Nights -- Kosta, Williams Selyem, Merry Edwards, etc. Thought this would have 5 years but alas, it's like some other platinum labels I've held as an experiment, it's just not holding up. Still enjoyable but not as memorable so if you still have it, drink up.

Cherry and strawberries. Not a lot of complexity, but plenty drinkable. Short finish with a bit of oak and tannins.

Heavy oak, acidic. Ethanol on the after palate.

Easy drinking, tasted like an older vintage with a little funk. Not real complex but a pretty rich, ripe drink.
