I had higher expectations. Not a reserve, so probably shouldn’t have. Definitely not a first bottle. Drink something better first.

Jul 26th, 2022Lighthouse label. Is that critter label qualified? Nose smells too ripe and full of that ‘red wine’ of the new world smell. Vanilla, fake fruits and cooked plums (not prunes). Flavors are smooth and mighty fruity. One might say ‘sweet’. Lacks grip or bite. Just hits the infantile sweet fruit note over and over. Also has and over-abundance of vanilla, caramel toasted marshmallow stuff on the finish. Not a Merlot for me.
Had the 2021. It was a lot better than the 2020.

Wow! Their Central Coast Zin is really nice, as is this.
Blackberry and chocolate on the nose that was super aromatic during the pour
Flavor is huge berry and a nice cacao finish
Super smooth and enjoyable
