Same notes - this has become my muse, my heart of darkness for the evening, such a lovely wine with so many dark things wrapped into it, tabaco, dark berry, black licorice, roasted stout grains, wow. Nice re-entry wine! Such great aging.

Stoic fruit and a touch of he old cellar dust, makes up an inhalation of the nostrils,
Right from the top, an amalgamation of dark fruits, dried fig, prune, dark cherry, a hint of lively herbs, and a dash of tarragon like acidity.
A lovely wine, and great price for the vintage.

Dusty, mineral, thyme, Violet, lavender, very dry on the plate, red and black berry, coffee, cocoa, slightly tobacco, licorice, med plus tannin, med plus body. Not so much fruit on the nose and plate. A Chilean Syrah that tastes more like old world Syrah.

Smokey, green pepper, vegetal, spicy. Light but present tannins. Fruit bomb. Love big boys.

Spice and red and dark fruit on the nose. Medium plus body with dark fruit notes and a little bit of chocolate. Dusty palate with medium tannins and balanced acidity.

Sep 22nd, 2018Older vintage of a boutique Chilean Syrah. You can smell the leather and terroir. Incredible. Opens to seriously balanced and beautiful fruit with a hint of very ripe cherries. Damn!
