90% Sangiovese & 10%,Canaiolo. Bright red fruit aromas and flavors. Lots of minerality and dried herbs. A bit earthy and sharp on the finish. Bone dry and full of acidity. Label states that this wine is barrel aged for 24 months with 3 additional months of bottle age.

Third vintage of this Chianti I have tasted over the years. Blend of Sangiovese (90%) and Canaiolo (10%). Aromas of red and black fruit, sweet and savory spices and leather. Flavors of raspberry and blueberry fruit, exotic spices, tomato leaf and vanilla. Medium length earthy/mineral driven finish. Low acidity and slightly off balance. Not overly exciting but not terrible either. A reasonable table wine.

90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. Light garnet color with a slight orange rim. Aromas and flavors of sour cherry, dried herbs, wet soil and a hint of barnyard funk. The fruit is somewhat overpowered by the tertiary notes. Short finish but very smooth tannins. Low acidity. Light bodied and very dry. Quite basic. Thanks for sharing, Chris B!

90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. Never heard of Canaiolo but this is great. Soil, dried spices and dried cherry. Can you believe I found this on “vintage close out” for $7? Surprisingly great.

Not too sweet, not too dry. Great to pair with steak or cheese pairing.

A really smooth Chianti. Not rough or overly acidic. I regret only buying one bottle as a flyer. Comparable to a a tan label at slightly more than half the price.
